The distance of Kulon Progo Mangrove Forest from the city center of Yogyakarta is about 47 kilometers. To get to this forest area, you have to drive for approximately 1 to 2 hours. The journey to the Kulon Progo Mangrove Forest area will go through Yogya-Wates and Wates Purworejo Roads. 

From the city center of Yogyakarta, you can take the path towards Jalan Wates. After that, keep walking straight until you meet the statue of Nyi Ageng Serang.

Kulon Progo Mangrove Forest is open from 07.00 to 18.00. The entrance ticket to this tourist area is also very affordable.
